MORE THAN A GAME

Roger Steele believes golf is more than a game — it is a vehicle for opportunity and life lessons that shape young people far beyond the course. Through the sport, youth learn responsibility, patience, discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work. For Roger, golf teaches accountability, confidence, and respect — lessons that mirror life itself and help young athletes build character both on and off the greens.

That belief is rooted in legacy. Roger was introduced to the game through the Chicago Road Kings Golf Camp, founded by his father in 1989 to create access to golf for youth across Chicago. Today, Roger carries that mission forward as a mentor, role model, and consistent voice online advocating for equity in the sport. Through his continued work supporting the camp and partnering with Youth on Course to subsidize access and green fees, Roger remains committed to expanding opportunity — ensuring the next generation has the guidance, resources, and representation needed to thrive.

- ROGER STEELE

“If you gained something from the game, you have a responsibility to give back. Otherwise, you’re giving up on the future of golf.”
